ABSTRACT:
A 5 page analysis of President George W. Bush’s decision on stem cell research. This paper provides a political background of the controversy, an outline of the ethical considerations, and a detailed discussion of the potential benefits of the research. The contention is presented that Bush’s decision serves to buy us time in potentially valuable research while avoiding the additional harvest of stem cells from aborted fetuses.
